Initially, the business logo had to include a hand with a severed head because it was designed for the single “Protect ya Neck.” However, RZA and Mathematics both agreed that the drawing was too bloody. To a large extent, black is a mysterious colour. Wu-Tang also preferred the colour black, which was associated with the night. As a result, the logo dazzles in it at times. How Did Wu-Tang Clan Get Their Logo?
With the Wu-Tang Clan’s promotion started, Robert Fitzgerald tasked Ronald Maurice (aka Mathematics) with creating a logo for the group. The clan’s de facto chief requested that Maurice draw inspiration from their single, “Protect Ya Neck.” Maurice drew the prototype using this as a guide.

Is the Wu-Tang Clan’s Logo a Bat?
What’s the connection between Wu-Tang and Wuhan? Despite the fact that the renowned Wu-Tang emblem is a bird. But what kind of bird is it referring to? Unfortunately, there is no suggestion from the proprietors; thus, determining the solution is complex. Since 2020, the world has been fighting the coronavirus.
It is now widely accepted that the virus was discovered in Wuhan, China. However, specialists believe the virus was spread by bats. As a result, tensions between China and Canada erupted over t-shirts sporting the renowned emblem. Surprisingly, instead of the band’s name, the t-shirt said Wuhan.
The image enraged most Chinese, who mistook the bird for a bat. They also considered the Canadians humiliated them by inadvertently associating the bird with the city of Wuhan. The Canadians, on the other hand, had a different opinion. According to them, the logo was not intended to represent a bat.
According to Christelle Chartrand, the stylised- W was created by an embassy employee and was not approved by the embassy or Global Affairs Canada. She mentioned that the branded t-shirts were made for embassy personnel working to repatriate Canadians from Wuhan.
Ms Christelle, a spokesman for the Canadian Foreign Ministry, apologized for the misunderstanding. However, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin claimed the rationale was insufficient.
How Did Wu-Tang Clan Start?
The Wu-Tang Clan was founded in Staten Island, New York 1992. It began with nine musicians inspired by Chinese culture: Method Man, Masta Killa, U-God, and RZA. Raekwon, OI’ Dirty Bastard, Ghostface Killah, GZA, and Inspectah were among the others.
The group’s distinctive name was inspired by the Kung-fu film—Shaolin and Wu-Tang. Wu Dang, a Taoist holy mountain in China’s Hubei Province, also inspired the name. Wu-Tang Clan’s debut single, Protect Ya Neck, was released in 1993. It influenced the design of the group’s logo.
The group then published its debut album, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), with the help of Loud Records. This record forever altered the hip-hop landscape. Even today, critics consider it to be one of the finest songs in hip-hop history. The album came out in November 1993.

Unfortunately, it was defeated by Sean Combs (P. Diddy). The group’s third album, The W, was released in November 2000. Unfortunately, OI’ Dirty Bastard had to record over the phone from prison. Regardless of Bastard’s incarceration, the album went double platinum.
“Iron Flag” was released a year later by Wu-Tang Clan. It was the band’s fourth studio album. Though the band continued to amuse fans, it encountered several difficulties. For example, in 2004, there was a feud between RZA and U-God.
Bastard also had numerous issues with law enforcement. Unfortunately, he died in New York after falling at Wu-Tang’s recording studio. This tragic tragedy occurred on November 13, 2004. Following his interment, business as usual resumed: from individual projects to the group’s next record.
As a result, Wu-Tang released their fifth album, 8 Diagrams, in 2007. Cappadonna was welcomed into the official group as a result of this endeavour. The group then published its sixth album in 2014, following various obstacles. It was titled A Better Tomorrow and was distributed by Warner Bros.
