Although there are no bills in place to change Texas’s minimum wage rate, several organizations are working to raise it. For instance, the security services federal credit union in San Antonio increased the minimum wage for its 400 employees from $15 to $20 per hour beginning in September 2021. This is double the minimum wage set by the state and federal governments of Texas.
