Reports from a Walgreens pharmacy technician stated that they’d be open on Thanksgiving Day. In her words, “Oh yeah! We’ll be available. The store is open all day, but the pharmacy is only open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.” On a typical day, store hours range from 7 a.m. to 12 a.m., or from 8 a.m. to 12 a.m., depending on location.
One variable is whether or not you will have access to every Walgreens store pharmacy.
“Our working hours remain the same. “Our store will be open, but our pharmacy will be closed,” a Walgreens employee from another location said. Although their pharmacy provides flu and other vaccinations, this service will be unavailable on Thanksgiving for stores with a closed pharmacy.
You can still get vaccinations if your local Walgreens pharmacy is open. The pharmacy technician said, “As long as you have an appointment, we can still do shots.” They also offer drive-thru virus testing, which you can schedule online.
Keep in mind that the drive-thru pharmacy is usually open for a few hours longer than the store itself. However, it is comforting to know that the front doors will be open and that you will be able to obtain over-the-counter medications (or other products) if necessary.
Will Walgreens’ Pharmacy Be Open?
On Thanksgiving, all 24-hour Walgreens locations will have their pharmacies open. Some locations will only be open during certain hours. To be safe, check with your local store first.

Dunkin’ Donuts locations are also open on Thursday; however, some locations may have different hours.
Dunkin’ Donuts told a customer on Twitter that holiday hours may vary depending on location because most of their stores are independently owned and operated.
