It’s highly unlikely that you’ll notice until Thanksgiving morning. Fortunately, a lot of grocery stores will be open on Thanksgiving Day so you can get any last-minute items you need.

However, hours are subject to change regionally, so be sure to call the store before you run out. Here’s a rundown of the grocery stores you can count on to be open on Thanksgiving, as well as those that, for the first time in years, will be closed.

Grocery Stores Open on Thanksgiving Day

#1. Maverik

You’re in luck if you happen to be passing through one of Maverik’s four hundred locations. On your way to see relatives, stop by to fill up your tank with gas, get some road trip snacks, and use the restrooms.

On Thanksgiving, visit your neighborhood Gordmans at 5:00 p.m. You can get a jump on your holiday shopping and get something for everyone on your list.

#20. Cabela’s

On Thanksgiving Day, Cabela’s will be open for a shorter than usual period of time, closing at around 6 p.m. Don’t forget to research store hours before heading out.

Other Grocery Stores Open on Thanksgiving Day

Albertsons: Call ahead to find out what time(s) your nearby Albertsons is open.
C-Town: Check with your local C-Town to confirm their hours of operation, but in general, most stores are open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Cub Foods: Although some locations may close early, Cub Foods will be open on Thanksgiving Day.
Cumberland Farms: There will always be a store open at Cumberland Farms. Free coffee was offered at some locations last year, too.

Food Lion: While most locations will be open on Thanksgiving, some may have reduced hours.
The Fresh Market: They will be open, but store hours may be restricted.
Giant Stores: On Thanksgiving Day, Giant Food stores will open at 6 a.m. but close early.
Hannaford Supermarkets: In some locations, Hannaford supermarkets are open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Harris Teeter: At 2 p.m. today, Harris Teeter will close its doors permanently.
H.E.B. : They are extending our store hours to 6 am – 12 pm today.
Piggly Wiggly Store hours vary by location because they are independently owned.
Safeway Stores: Call ahead to confirm hours of operation, but most Safeway stores will be open.
Shaws: Store hours will be reduced, so please call ahead to confirm availability.
Star Market: Some stores at Star Market will close at 2 p.m. Find out when your neighborhood shop is going to be closing by calling ahead.
Stop & Shop: Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey customers, rejoice! Your local Stop & Shop is still open, albeit with reduced hours. There will be a significant number of business closures in MA and RI. Pharmacy and pick-up hours are available by calling ahead.
Vons: The Vons convenience store will be open, but only for a short time. Make sure by calling ahead.
Wawa: Many Wawa locations will be open on Thanksgiving, and some will even be open around the clock.
