But it’s crucial to understand that, depending on the individual, you might not have as many options as you would like to share those recordings for free.

The Family Library Sharing feature allows you to share your audiobooks with other members of your Amazon Household. Please note that you can only have up to four children and two adults with separate Amazon accounts in your Amazon Household.
The steps to add someone to your Amazon Household and begin sharing content from your Family Library are as follows:
- Open your Amazon account and navigate to the “Content and Devices” section.
- Navigate to the “Preferences” section.
- Click “Households and Family Library” to open it, then choose “Learn more about Households.”
- Click on the relevant “Add” button.
- After typing in their email address and name, select “Verify second adult’s account.”
- You’ll give them a full week to accept your invitation. After that, you can formally set up your household by choosing which account features, such as audiobooks from Audible, to share.
- Alternatively, you can use the app’s built-in sharing feature to give the person you want to share an audiobook with access to it for free if they haven’t already. If not, they will just receive your advice.
- Open the Audible app on your phone, then select your library to utilize that option. After that, click the three dots next to the audiobook of your choice and choose “Send this book.”

Most of the time, no. A free “Send this Book” feature was formerly available on Audible, but it was discontinued in April 2021.
However, the service does offer a feature known as Family Library Sharing. Sharing Audible (and other Amazon) books with a member of the same Amazon Household is made possible by this.
