#1. Clear Facebook App Cache

A piled-up cache is the most common cause of any specific feature missing or not working in an app. So, the first thing you should try to fix the no-edit option on Facebook posts is to clear the accumulated cache.
If you don’t know how to clear the cache, here are the steps to take:

- Step 2: Look for the Apps option.

#8. Uninstall and Reinstall Facebook
Sometimes, it’s due to an app bug. If updating the app does not solve the problem, uninstall and reinstall it. Don’t worry; your Facebook account will not be affected.
Locate and hold down the Facebook app on your iPhone to uninstall it. Then navigate to Remove App > Delete App. Confirm your desire to delete the app. Then, go to the App Store and reinstall Facebook.
To uninstall Facebook on your Android phone, open the Google Play Store and tap the Profile icon. Choose Manage apps and devices > Manage. Find Facebook and select “uninstall.” After uninstalling the app, return to the Google Play Store and reinstall Facebook.
After reinstalling the Facebook App, you should restart your device.

How Do You Edit a Facebook Post?
For those still getting familiar with how to edit a Facebook post, here are the steps you must take.
- Step 1: Launch the Facebook application.
- Step 2: In the top right corner of the screen, tap on your profile.
- Step 3: Navigate to your profile.
- Step 4: Navigate to the post you want to modify.
- Step 5: Tap the three dots in the post’s upper right corner.
- Step 6: Click the Edit button.
On the Web
- Click on the three dots in the upper right corner of the post you want to edit.
- If you want to edit something, click Edit post, make your changes, and then click Save.
- If you want to delete it, click Move to Trash, and then click Move.
Please remember that when you “delete” a post, you are moving it to the trash section, where it will be deleted after 30 days. Follow the steps below if you want to restore or delete it right away.
- In the upper right corner, click on your personal icon.
- Navigate to Settings & Privacy > Activity log.
- Scroll down and select Trash in the left-hand column.
- Locate the post and check the box next to it. Restore it to your timeline by clicking Restore or Delete to delete it permanently.
- Click Restore or Delete in the resulting pop-up.

- Tap on the three dots in the upper-right corner of the post to change it. Select Edit post, make your changes, and then click Save.
- If you want to delete it, select Move to Trash and click on Move.
On the web, the process of restoring or permanently deleting a post is similar.
- Tap on your personal icon in the upper left corner of your timeline.
- To the right of the Edit profile, tap the three dots.
- Select Trash from the Activity log menu in your Profile settings.
- Check the box next to the post you want to restore or delete.
To restore or delete it, check the box next to the post and select your option.
- Tap Restore at the bottom of the screen to restore the post. Tap the three dots in the bottom right corner and select Delete to delete it permanently.
- In the pop-up menu, select Restore or Delete.
