From July 26, 2023, existing Xfinity Flex and Xfinity X1 customers were unable to access Peacock Premium for free. However, a limited-period offer allows them to subscribe to Peacock for $2.99 per month for 12 months. The offer will be sent to users’ email and will also appear when the Peacock app is opened on the TV.
After 12 months, Xfinity users will need to pay $4.99 per month to keep watching Peacock Premium.
It is worth noting that the offer could only be redeemed until Aug. 25, 2023. Xfinity users who missed out will need to pay full price.
How to Activate Peacock Premium on Xfinity
Peacock Premium lets you activate your subscription with utmost ease. All you need to do is log in to xfinity.com/chat and find the “Sign In” option conveniently placed in the upper-right corner of the page. Once you have signed in, the Xfinity Assistant will walk you through the activation process step by step, making it a straightforward and user-friendly experience.
This hassle-free procedure ensures that you can swiftly unlock all the benefits of your Peacock Premium subscription, granting you access to a vast and diverse library of captivating shows and movies. With your Peacock Premium subscription activated, entertainment is just a click away, promising hours of enjoyment and excitement at your fingertips.
While free Peacock Premium is going away for some Xfinity customers, it will be available for others. Xfinity internet customers with Gigabit speeds will get Peacock Premium for free for two years, after which the offer will end. If these users previously linked their Peacock account with the X1 or Flex service, they don’t need to do anything to activate the offer.
If not, they will need to sign in to xfinity.com/chat to activate it.
Xfinity internet customers who are Diamond or Platinum Xfinity rewards members will also be able to redeem a free Peacock Premium offer from the Xfinity Rewards website. Once redeemed, they will receive an email with details on how to activate the offer. These Xfinity users will continue to get access to free Peacock Premium as long as they are enrolled in Xfinity Diamond or Platinum rewards with Xfinity Internet.
Users who have an existing Peacock Premium plan will need to cancel it before activating it through Xfinity Rewards.
How to Activate Peacock on Xfinity
As we know, Peacock TV is now available to everyone, no matter if you’re a customer or not. However, in case you have Xfinity Flex or Xfinity X1, you just need to use your Email ID to log in. And in case you want to watch your content with a completely ad-free experience, then you must have to upgrade your account to premium plus.
Let’s take a look at the steps and check out how you will activate or log in Peacock app on Xfinity Flex and Xfinity X1.
#1: Get the app
Before, login you need to have the right application installed on your Xfinity device. So, to do so, follow the steps that we have mentioned here:
- First of all, using your Xfinity Voice Remote, press the Xfinity button.
- After that, go to the Apps menu by pressing the right arrow.
- Then, again press the arrow buttons to get Peacock.
#2: Create your Peacock Login
Now, once you have the right application to use, you must have to log in with your Peacock account. But, in case you don’t have an account, you need to create one. Meanwhile, these steps will help you create a Peacock account:
- To start with, you’ll have to use your email address. So, you’ll need to enter your email ID. Also, if you want, then you can use the option Activate on Your Phone, whichever you want.
- Then, hit the OK on X1 or Flex and start typing your email address. After that, your Comcast email ID comes up; press the OK button to select it. Alternatively, you can press the down arrow and choose the Enter new email option in order to use a different one.
- After that, in order to enter a new email address, use the arrow buttons of the keyboard that appear on the screen using your remote. Then, use the arrow down button to Continue and hit the OK button.
- That’s it. Now, a confirmation window will pop up and say that you’ve got access to Peacock Premium. After that, it will take you to the Peacock’s home screen. In addition, it will show a window that asks you: Do you want to share your Peacock watch history?
- Now, choose the Allow Peacock to share. This will make your work easier to jump back into a movie that you have been watching before. However, not only that, but it will also suggest to you the programs based on your interest.
Peacock once offered a free subscription tier to access its tens of thousands of hours of shows, movies, sports, and originals. However, for new customers, its programming is restricted to premium members only. A Peacock Premium subscription is the only way to watch new theatrical releases, NBC shows, Bravo hits Poker Face, Yellowstone, Bel-Air, Premier League matches, WWE, and other content in full.
There are two paid tiers available:
- ad-based Peacock Premium, at $5 a month, and
- ad-free version Premium Plus that costs $10 monthly.
However, if you use certain cable companies, you could take advantage of discounts on the price of Peacock — or even get Peacock Premium free.
Peacock provides Comcast Xfinity internet subscribers a basic premium account if they have a NOW TV subscription. Meanwhile, Spectrum video and broadband customers get an extended free trial of Peacock, thanks to a deal with parent company Charter Communications. Qualified Spectrum TV customers get a yearlong free trial, and qualified Spectrum internet customers get 90 days.
Peacock Premium for Xfinity internet subscribers
As of June 26, 2023, Xfinity cable customers can no longer get Peacock Premium for free. However, if you have Xfinity internet and sign up for Comcast’s NOW TV streaming service, you are eligible for a free Peacock Premium subscription.
NOW TV is a new streaming platform that includes more than 40 live channels from A&E, AMC, and Warner Bros. Discovery, as well as 20-plus integrated FAST channels from NBC, Sky, and Xumo Play, and a subscription to Peacock Premium at no additional cost. NOW costs $20 a month, doesn’t require equipment, and can be canceled anytime.
Xfinity internet customers can sign up for NOW TV through Xfinity’s website. You can activate your Peacock Premium subscription via email after setting up NOW or by logging in to your account.
Though the ad-supported Peacock Premium is available for free with these deals, you can always upgrade your account to Premium Plus for an ad-free viewing experience at an additional cost.
Spectrum offers 3 or 12 months for free
Spectrum’s deal applies to Spectrum TV customers for 12 months (with the exception of Basic or TV Essentials tier plans) and Spectrum internet users for three months. New Peacock Premium subscribers can sign up for the Spectrum deal on Peacock’s website, but existing Peacock customers will have to cancel their current subscriptions to sign up for this offer.

If you cancel your Spectrum TV service during the free 12-month period, your Peacock Premium will be unlinked and canceled. But if you have Spectrum Internet in addition to the cable TV service, you can link your Spectrum account to Peacock Premium for the 90-day access deal.
This doesn’t apply to customers who only have Spectrum internet. If you disconnect internet service during the 90-day promotional period, your Peacock Premium will be canceled. This offer is valid until Dec. 7, 2023.
How do I link Peacock to Xfinity?
If you have an X1 or Flex streaming TV Box, accessing the Peacock app is very easy.
Simply launch the Peacock app on your TV Box, and you will receive a prompt to either create a new Peacock profile or log in to your existing one. If you are new to Peacock, setting up a new profile is quick and straightforward. Once you’ve registered your profile on your TV Box, it’s important to ensure its security.
To do this, head over to peacocktv.com/account on your computer or mobile device and follow the instructions to set up a password. If you ever forget your password, just select the “I don’t know my password” option on the website, and you’ll be guided through the process of resetting it and securing your Peacock profile.
