The lawsuit says that the software on the Dior website covertly records the user’s biometric information, in this case their facial shape, without the user’s knowledge or consent. This takes place without the user’s knowledge or agreement. The lawsuit says that the defendant’s collection and use of biometric data from customers broke the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA) because the defendant didn’t give customers the information they were supposed to get and didn’t get written permission to use and store the information. Additionally, the lawsuit claims that the defendant failed to obtain a written release to use and store the information.<\/p>
