{"id":15872,"date":"2023-02-01T09:36:00","date_gmt":"2023-02-01T09:36:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/businessyield.com\/?p=15872"},"modified":"2023-02-02T09:38:16","modified_gmt":"2023-02-02T09:38:16","slug":"ficc-best-practices-and-trading-guide","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businessyield.com\/uncategorized\/ficc-best-practices-and-trading-guide\/","title":{"rendered":"FICC: Best Practices and Trading Guide","gt_translate_keys":[{"key":"rendered","format":"text"}]},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-ficc-trading\"><span id=\"ficc-trading\">FICC TRADING <\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Fixed Income Clearing Corporation (<strong>FICC<\/strong>) is a clearinghouse for certain fixed-income securities traded in the U.S. The&nbsp;<strong>FICC<\/strong>&nbsp;began operating in 2003 as a result of the merger of the Government Securities Clearing Corporation and the Mortgage-Backed Security Clearing Corporation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Fixed Income Clearing Corporation (FICC) is a regulatory agency that deals with the confirmation, settlement, and delivery of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.investopedia.com\/terms\/f\/fixedincome.asp\">fixed-income assets<\/a>&nbsp;in the U.S. The FICC ensures the systematic and efficient settlement and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.investopedia.com\/terms\/c\/clearing.asp\">clearing&nbsp;<\/a>of U.S. government securities and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.investopedia.com\/terms\/m\/mbs.asp\">mortgage-backed security<\/a>&nbsp;(MBS) transactions in the market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It includes buying and selling of securities in both cash and derivative instruments for interest-rate&nbsp;<strong>products<\/strong>, credit&nbsp;<strong>products<\/strong>, mortgages, currencies and commodities.
