If you choose an unlimited plan from either provider, you can use mobile hotspot data. Whenever there is a lack of connection to the internet, having the ability to connect via an ad hoc wireless access point can be extremely useful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AT&T and Verizon Wireless both have great choices for big family plans and real, fast, reliable unlimited plans. At the end of the day, AT&T probably saves you a few dollars if you want similar features like 5G and Unlimited in most of America’s big towns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These are probably the things that will make you choose one of these two over the other. AT&T’s Unlimited Elite plan costs $85 for a single line and includes unlimited high-speed data and 40 GB of mobile hotspot use per month. Verizon’s Get More Unlimited plan costs $100 for a single line ($90 with autopay and paperless billing) and only covers 50 GB of high-speed data and 30 GB of mobile hotspot use per month. Verizon, on the other hand, has the fastest 5G service, which it calls “Ultra Wideband,” and it’s available in many more places than AT&T. Based on our own data from more than 100,000 mobile users, Verizon has faster internet speeds than AT&T, but both are slower than T-Mobile. This is just the average speed on a 4G LTE network, though. There will be some differences based on where you live, what you want to do, and other things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ookla’s anonymous app data also showed that T-Mobile’s 5G network was available 71.1% of the time, while AT&T’s was only available 68.7% of the time and Verizon’s only 37.6% of the time. In 2021, PCMag said that T-cell had the fastest cell network for the first time ever. In 2022, the carrier kept its spot as the best cell network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
