to raise it, press the right speaker button.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also use the crown on the side of the watch to adjust the volume if you tap the slider bar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-to-enable-or-disable-apple-watch-haptic-alerts\"><span id=\"how-to-enable-or-disable-apple-watch-haptic-alerts\">How to Enable or Disable Apple Watch Haptic Alerts<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Your watch has a feature called \u201cHaptic Alerts\u201d that vibrates to notify you that you have received a notification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Step 1: Navigate to the apps menu on your watch and select the gray Settings icon.<br>select the Settings icon<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Step 2: Scroll down and select the Sounds & Haptics menu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Step 3: Scroll down and turn on or off Haptic Alerts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s worth noting that there are options in this section if you want to use the default haptic alert vibration or make it more noticeable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-to-modify-the-apple-watch-s-digital-crown-haptic-settings\"><span id=\"how-to-modify-the-apple-watchs-digital-crown-haptic-settings\">How to Modify the Apple Watch\u2019s Digital Crown Haptic Settings<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you\u2019ve decided whether or not to keep your device\u2019s haptic vibration settings enabled, you may want to adjust this setting for the crown as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Step 1: On the watch, launch the Settings app.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Step 2: Select the Sounds & Haptics tab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Step 3: Toggle the Crown Haptics button on or off.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This setting is only available on Apple Watch models from series four and up, so if you have an older Apple Watch model, you may not see it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-to-turn-on-or-turn-off-haptic-chimes-on-an-apple-watch\"><span id=\"how-to-turn-on-or-turn-off-haptic-chimes-on-an-apple-watch\">How to Turn on or Turn Off Haptic Chimes on an Apple Watch<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There is one more haptic feature on the watch that you may or may not want to keep using.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This setting is known as \u201cHaptic Chimes,\u201d and it can be configured to notify you of different time intervals via sound and vibration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can change this setting by following the steps below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Step 1: Launch the Apple Watch Settings application.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Step 2: Go to the Accessibility tab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Step 3: Select Chimes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Step 4: Enable or disable the Chimes option.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you keep the Haptic Chimes turned on, you can also change the schedule to control how frequently they play and the tone that plays at each interval.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-to-enable-the-apple-watch-cover-to-mute-setting\"><span id=\"how-to-enable-the-apple-watch-cover-to-mute-setting\">How to Enable the Apple Watch Cover to Mute Setting<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Step 1: On the watch, launch the Settings app.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Step 2: Navigate to the Sounds & Haptics menu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Step 3: Scroll to the bottom of the menu and enable or disable the Cover to Mute option.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You must rest your hand on the watch face for three seconds for this to activate, after which you will feel a vibration to let you know you were successful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-to-mute-your-apple-watch\"><span id=\"how-to-mute-your-apple-watch\">How to Mute your Apple Watch<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Muting your Apple Watch will only silence the device\u2019s sounds. Here\u2019s how to go about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To access the Control Center, swipe up on the Watch face.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To activate Silent Mode, tap the bell icon. Set Cover to Mute.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cover the display with your palm until you feel a tap (about three seconds) to silence an incoming alert or notification.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-to-enable-theater-mode\"><span id=\"how-to-enable-theater-mode\">How to Enable Theater Mode<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Another way to silence your Apple Watch is to use Theater Mode. When Theater Mode is enabled, Silent Mode is activated, and the Wake Screen on Wrist Raise feature is temporarily disabled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To access the Control Center, swipe up on the Watch face.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the icon with two masks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When Theater Mode is enabled, the masks icon appears at the top of the Watch display.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"4\">\n<li>In Theater Mode, you will still receive haptic notifications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To activate Theater Mode and wake the Watch screen, tap the display or press the side button or Digital Crown.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-to-silence-siri-on-your-apple-watch\"><span id=\"how-to-silence-siri-on-your-apple-watch\">How to Silence Siri on Your Apple Watch<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There are times when Siri on your Apple Watch simply refuses to be quiet and randomly appears on your Apple Watch with the smallest sounds, which can quickly become annoying. Siri frequently behaves in this manner shortly after updating the watchOS version. And, of course, \u201cHey Siri\u201d will work even if you enable silent mode on your Apple Watch. When the bell icon is red with a slash through it, Silent Mode is enabled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By pressing the digital crown, opening the Settings app (the gear icon), and then tapping the Sounds & Haptics option, you can ensure that haptic alerts are enabled. There, you can enable or disable Haptic Alerts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-why-isn-t-my-apple-watch-making-a-sound-when-i-receive-a-text-message\"><span id=\"why-isnt-my-apple-watch-making-a-sound-when-i-receive-a-text-message\">Why isn\u2019t my Apple Watch making a sound when I receive a text message?<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you aren\u2019t hearing any sounds, the mute setting is most likely turned on. Swiping up from the bottom of the screen and tapping the bell icon will quickly silence or unmute the watch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also change the watch\u2019s sound settings by pressing the crown button, going to the Settings app, and then selecting Sounds & Haptics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tap Sound Options to enable various settings that affect the device\u2019s noises and haptics, such as the crown haptics that play when you spin the dial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have your sounds turned on, another place to look is the Notifications menu in the Settings app. You can then choose Messages to see if the notifications are mirrored from your phone or if you are using custom watch settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-do-i-turn-on-or-off-do-not-disturb-mode-on-my-apple-watch\"><span id=\"how-do-i-turn-on-or-off-do-not-disturb-mode-on-my-apple-watch\">How do I turn on or off Do Not Disturb mode on my Apple Watch?<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To activate the Apple Watch Do Not Disturb mode, swipe up from the bottom of the screen, then tap the half moon icon, and then select the Do Not Disturb option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do Not Disturb mode can also be enabled and configured for your watch by pressing the digital crown on the side of the watch, tapping the gear icon, selecting the Focus option, and then selecting Do Not Disturb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will then be able to create a new Do Not Disturb profile in which you can specify which types of notifications you want to receive when the mode
