However, you may have noticed that the option to change your account\u2019s age is no longer in the profile editing section. Let\u2019s go over how to change your age on Tinder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When you sign up for Tinder, your name and age are the only permanent details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To change your age on Tinder, if you signed up using your phone number, you\u2019ll need to delete your account and create a new one. If you link your Tinder and Facebook accounts, updating your Facebook profile will also update your Tinder age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, catfishing, ghosting, and other negative interactions can occur quickly when people go too far. If everyone were allowed to change their name and age at will, they could deceive an increasing number of people. Imagine what bots and other Tinder automation could do with constant access to key information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
By generalizing the inability to change one\u2019s name and age, users can be confident that, while they cannot change their name or age, no one else can either. That is something people should have faith in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As earlier mentioned, Tinder only allows you to change your date of birth if it is linked to your Facebook account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There is no other option but to delete your account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You cannot change your date of birth if you registered on Tinder using your email or mobile number.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The only solution in these two cases is to delete your account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You\u2019ll lose all matches and messages and have to create a new Tinder profile with the correct age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you want to keep it simple, create a profile linked to your Facebook account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As a result, you will be able to change your birth date as often as you want.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tinder knows your age because you typed it in when you registered with your email or mobile number.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Or because you linked your Tinder account to your Facebook account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tinder, in this case, takes all information from it, including your age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As a result, your age is known and displayed on your profile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Unless you hide your age on Tinder or change it on Facebook, Tinder has complete control over your profile, including what information appears.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the one hand, this is beneficial for preventing fake accounts and bots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But you don\u2019t have much freedom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
