Through the settings:<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To mute your Apple Watch, follow the steps below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. To display the Control Center, swipe up on the watch face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. To activate silent mode, tap the bell icon. The icon will light up and have a slash through the bell once this function is activated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Note that while the Apple Watch is charging, alarms and timers continue to ring, and you can still receive haptic notifications (taps on your wrist). To turn this off, go to the Settings app on the Apple Watch or the Watch app on the iPhone, select Sounds & Haptics, and turn off Haptic Alerts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-2-cover-your-apple-watch-with-your-palm\"><span id=\"2-cover-your-apple-watch-with-your-palm\">#2. Cover Your Apple Watch with Your Palm<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Regardless of whether you are receiving an alert, an alarm, or a notification from Siri, you can silence all noises on your Watch by covering it with your palm. Apple advises covering the watch for three seconds, but the moment your palm touches the watch\u2019s face, all audio is muted.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is a catch, though. It doesn\u2019t operate on its own. For it to function, you must select this in the options. How to do it is as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>on your iPhone, open the Apple Watch app.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Then select Sound and Haptics.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On\/Off Cover to Mute<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-to-silence-your-apple-watch\"><span id=\"how-to-silence-your-apple-watch\">How to Silence Your Apple Watch<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Putting your palm over your Apple Watch won\u2019t do anything but temporarily mute audio. How to activate silent mode is as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sliding up on the Apple Watch Face will bring you to the Control Center.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Toggle the bell icon on. It turned on Silent Mode, which, when activated, causes the icon to change colors and feature a slash through the bell.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In silent mode, you would still be able to get haptic notifications. Additionally, timers and alarms continue to ring even when the watch is being charged.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Turn off the haptic alerts in the Watch\u2019s Settings app or on your iPhone\u2019s Watch app by tapping the Sounds and Haptics button.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-to-turn-on-do-not-disturb\"><span id=\"how-to-turn-on-do-not-disturb\"><strong>How to Turn On Do Not Disturb<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This function is what you need to know about if you want to permanently silence an Apple Watch. It prevents all calls and alerts from ringing or illuminating your Apple Watch. How to do it is as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Swipe up on your Watch face to access the Control Center.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the icon for the bent moon.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You must now decide how long you want the Do Not Disturb mode to remain active. By selecting \u201cOn,\u201d it will remain turned on until manually turned off. There are choices like \u201cOn for 1 hour\u201d and \u201cOn until this evening,\u201d though. After the predetermined amount of time, these choices automatically disable the Do Not Disturb mode.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The crescent moon icon will move to the Watch face\u2019s center after Do Not Disturb is activated.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Note that the exception is alarms. Even with the Do Not Disturb mode activated, they will still sound.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-to-turn-on-silent-mode-on-siri\"><span id=\"how-to-turn-on-silent-mode-on-siri\"><strong>How to Turn on Silent Mode on Siri<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Siri is unaffected by any of the settings listed above. Even with Do Not Disturb or Silent Mode activated, Siri will still speak to you if it hears \u201cHey Siri\u201d from a distance.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The most effective approach to stopping <a href=\"https:\/\/businessyield.com\/tech\/how-to\/how-to-stop-siri-from-reading-texts-on-airpods\/\">Siri<\/a> from speaking is to turn off this feature entirely. How to do it is as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open your Apple Watch\u2019s settings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select Siri.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Turn off \u201cHey Siri.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Note that you can converse while holding down the Digital Crown if you want Siri to listen manually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-to-mute-apple-watch-notifications\"><span id=\"how-to-mute-apple-watch-notifications\">How to Mute Apple Watch Notifications<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Press the side button to bring up the Control Centre (for watchOS 9 or earlier, touch and hold the bottom of the screen and swipe up).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Simply press the Silent Mode button. An easy way to silence your Apple Watch Ultra when you receive a notification is to place your palm on the screen for at least three seconds. To check that the mute is on, you\u2019ll feel a tap.
